OK so I'm throwing this out there for your thoughts and ideas .
We all know by now there are some pretty amazing tank players here in 360 NA clan . I for one are happy to have them here to lead us into the WOT story boards . I am learning a great deal from them and watching my skill levels climb .
I am in the Competitive team though not nearly as skilled as some other key players . I am all about putting our best in key games to represent our fine team and lead us to victory , that is the way it should be .
With this I realize there are many 360NA players who just are not up to that standerd yet have tons of potential and passion for this game . There drive and desire to be a better player has brought them to us . Dedication to the team and game leaves them wanting more from themselves and feeds a desire to contribute to our cause .
Now my idea is to have multipal competitive groups based on players skill and tier limits . We could do subdivisions in rankings and start to train them to become fimialar with skirmishing and calling . I feel confident we could find other clans who have similar needs for their up and coming tank stars . We could run a few training scrimmages with one of our willing elite tankers as callers to start the ball rolling and set captains within to fallow through .
I know it is some work but in reality they are our team , they are our future . In good hands let us become the team all others want to be and set a example for others to follow .
Sorry kind of drug that out , slow day at work .
Anyways what do you think ?

I am all for having set teams. The problem is having enough active people to have two separate teams ready to go. Maybe if a lot of people come to practice tomorrow night we can setup teams.

Devi1 actually just challenged us to defend two territories, so we can run two teams if we want.

What we need is multiple people who can call and people who have tanks. At this point I think we are limited by these two factors; what if I don't show up, and what if the people who want to play would compromise the tactics we want to use on the map. A second string sounds great for this purpose. We start from the ground up with new blood, but also have some (sorta) vets that can consult when things to weird, or vacancys appear.

The starting point from this would be the creation of a list of competition grade players. We need around 18-20 to fully create a second string. If there's only 14-16ish then it's less a second string and more a backup staff that may rotate.

Step 1: IS-3 and T-54 ltwt.
Step 2: repeat step one until clan members get so tired of it they actually get the tanks.

Yeah, our competitive division has about 17 people. We need about 3 more to have two 10-man squads. I think 12 per team would be ideal.

We could go ahead and start up a 2nd division with about 6 guys, and just grow it into a full-fledged team over time.

We were essentially doing that, until the great NA/EU split of 2016. Those were dark days.

lol @ '...dark days...' -> que 'Tomorrow' from Annie...'the sun will come out...tomorrow...'

It's a great idea Slayer and we should totally set up a Reserve Competition Squad.

We could totally use it for mentoring and coaching. It would be different from the general reserve because these would be tankers that really want to improve and would like some assistance.

I'd be happy to help Coach them.

Is this something EternalSlayer would like to be in charge of (with our help of course) or does Wittz or Soulforge want to do it?

It'd be like 360NA World of Tanks College. Junior Varsity! That's it! It's the JV Team!

I'd shuffle some of the 1st string over. Wittz would make a half decent platoon leader, at least until someone else steps up, then you shuffle over someone like Cojack or Shrimp to help exemplify the kind of skills you need to play outside of leadership. Then with that core you teach some of the newer guys what goes on in the strategy sessions we frequently have on maps, and it should work out from there. Granted, tanks are probably going to be the limiting factor to begin with. Took more than a few days before we could consistently field 6 heavies or a 3/3/1 split with the same roster.

To be fair, I think the NA/EU competitive sections was a good idea in principle, even if it didn't quite work out at the time.......

Given how large 360NA is now, there would still seem to be some benefit to catering for different time zones - perhaps you could consider a similar, but less formal arrangement to supplement primary and reserve competition rosters?

Well pending on where you would want to place me but I don't work so well as a caller under pressure I hope to go to the varsity team

Alright, but really I think it's time for a second string.

We could go back to a NA/EU(and UK. They know what they did.) split if we have enough. I know at least 2-3 guys from the UK who want to do it, but not at 4am. How about a tally? Who here would want to do a Euro time zone string? Give it a post if you could. Don't have to be European, but just able to play earlier than 7pm western. If we get 8 or more it could be a go, and you can contact Anubis to see how he schedules scrims and the like.

It should work great. We have so many good players in the EU time zone now. iRhesus, xZ l iiMiNiMaN, Craig Holland and CollectBlock963. Also Dotty Emil, Ashiq Ahamed JN and Andy Virus...there may even be more. Plus some of us NA folk are available for EU scrim times. I'd be happy to play in those when I could.

I think an East/West division makes sense. Soul and Witttz could manage the West and me and Eamon could manage the east.

that would be good but I think me and soul +one other are the only west guys

Here is my proposal for a second team:

East: anubis, Eamon, Buz, EternalSlayer, Cojack, MVG, MuchTrain, iiminiman, irhesus, DottyEmil, SeventyKarma5, hash

West: Sou1, Witttz, DeathSlayer, FewerShrimp, DeFy, A Moose Eh, Socom, imwithstupid, YTrushkov, TropicalStraw, burnital, stewbob, SpartanFire

There are more people who I don't have east/west info for.

I'm not sure that accomplishes anything... Not to diss on the idea, but a we have trouble getting 8 together for most practices. It might fix the problem of too many people showing up for any particular event, but it doesn't solve the problem of new members not being on the same ticket as the older guys. What we need is like a newbie league, where people can learn the basics.

Maybe both? Maybe we just do new competitive training days?

A newbie league is what I was thinking in the beginning of this topic . We have quite a few middle road players who poke interest in scrimishing and maybe even a junior league . More being fairly new and still figuring out what they want to grind , we could prompt them in the rite direction to push for competive tanks and teach them how to properly use them in competive play .
Hell I'm sure some members are just eagerly waiting to be more involved .
Maybe a survey to see who is up for the task and any who want to become new blood leadership for the newly formed team . I'm thinking maybe three to learn calling and tactics from our first string players then work in the rest a few at a time . I also think some training on terrain advantages and location positioning . With all the map changes lately there's much to learn .

Also , I honestly think we could work out some scrimishes with other clans rookies as well . We can't be the only clan with this goal .
All in all , more involment from more players is the ultimate goal .
